The problem
Launch a short-term consumer lending service from scratch inside a payments company, and keep it correct and reliable while it grows.
What I did
- Took the service from business requirements to production, and influenced the product and architecture decisions along the way.
- Worked in an event-driven architecture: Kotlin services on Kafka and Kubernetes, scaled to 10,000+ concurrent users.
- Wrote a Spring Boot workflow library that other teams adopted for their own multi-step processes.
- Ran domain-driven design workshops for the team and mentored a junior developer to independent delivery.
What changed
